You can literally make Tomato Sauce Egg Tofu in 10 minutes if you master the steps. Great dinner option on weekdays. Without further ado, let’s learn how to make this addictive tofu dish.

Ingredients
  • Soft tofu 300g
  • Eggs 2
  • Cooking oil 1 tablespoon
  • Tomatoes 2 regular
  • Cooking sauce in a bowl
  • Soy sauce 3 tablespoons
  • Black vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Salt 1/4 tablespoon
  • Sugar 1/2 tablespoon
  • Corn starch 1 tablespoon

Prepare Tofu

Firstly, cut soft tofu into 2-fingers wide strips.

Blanch the tofu strips in boiled water with 1 tablespoon of salt for 1 minute.

After 1 minute, take tofu out and drain.

In a large plate or bowl, beat 2 eggs and put in the drained tofu strips. Make sure the tofu is wrapped by egg evenly.

Pan-frying with Tomatoes

Put 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in the pot, heat it over medium heat. Add tofu, then pour in all the egg liquid and fry until solidified, turn over, continue frying until the other side is golden brown, and then take everything out.

In the same pot, add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil, heat it over medium heat. Add 2 peeled and diced tomatoes, fry until soft and rotten. Add 2 tablespoons of ketchup, stir it well.

Add the tofu back in, then add a small bowl of sauce (check ingredients). Gently stir fry evenly until the soup thickens.
