Mince 5 cloves of garlic. The purpose of mincing the garlics is to better release the aroma from them during cooking, so they don’t have to be minced perfectly.

Prepare the Lettuce

drain the lettuce leaves

Rinse lettuce gently. Separate lettuce leaves and drain.

Stir Fry

In a wok or pot, add 2 tablespoon of cooking oil. Heat the oil over high heat. Add minced garlic, and quickly stir fry for 10-15 seconds until you can smell the aroma from garlics.

Then, add lettuce to the wok, quickly toss and stir-fry the lettuce. The leaves will start to wilt and turn bright green.

Add 2 tablespoons of soysauce and 1 teaspoon of salt. Keep stir-frying the lettuce for another 1-2 minutes, or until it is just wilted. You want the lettuce to retain some crunchiness and vibrant color.
